A series of 6 workshops has been organized by the association LSK (European Light Steel Construction Association) in Belgium, France and Spain in autumn, 2008. Particularly, two sessions of training on the WISH method took place on November 19th and 20th, 2008 in the training centre of ETANCO, Aubergenville (78) in association with ETANCO company.

In the course of this workshop, a total approach of the WiSH method has been offered and the participants could train the use of this method by practising on a practical case. The WiSH method is a simplified method of counting - based on Eurocode 3 part 1.3. - for the buildings of weak height in slim contours formed in cold. This method allows to calculate houses easily with cold-formed steel elements as a standard system, the simple software package WISH 1.0 of use was developed from Eurocodes and useful library of details.

Promotion and spread of this method in Europe are driven as part of the European research program WISH financed by R.F.C.S *, “Workpack Design for Steel House”.
