LSK is

An international, non-profitable association under Belgian law of companies and individuals, sharing an interest in promoting the use of light gauge steel in all aspects of the construction sector. It is based in Brussels.LSK is the contraction of ELSCA (European Light Steel Construction Association)

(Association européenne pour la construction en profilés minces en acier).

LSK believes

That an increase use of light gauge steel in construction offers numerous advantages :

- Economic, speed and simplicity of erection

- Environmental, highest recycling rate of base material

- Ergonomic, low weight of structural and non load-bearing elements

- Esthetic, unparalleled freedom of design

- Energetic, ideally suited for all mini-energy concepts

LSK sees as primary objectives :

- To support efforts to remove obstacles, bureaucratic and other, for building in light gauge steel

- To actively participate in creating a simple-to-use, pan-European building code for light gauge steel construction

- To inform builders, framers, architects, building inspectors, material suppliers, tool manufacturers and others about the multi-faceted advantages of building in light gauge steel

- To assist in drawing public interest by publicizing and highlighting successful achievements in all aspects of light gauge steel construction
